The Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen took place on Saturday, 6th May 2023, in the first Coronation Service in almost 70 years. On this day, King Charles and Queen Camilla were crowned in a ceremony full of music and symbolism inside Westminster Abbey.
For many people, this signifies a new era in the British Monarchy and one in which King Charles will undoubtedly continue his duties and keen interests in publicly supporting a wide variety of causes relating to the environment, rural communities, the built environment, the arts, healthcare and education. King Charles III, formerly known as The Prince of Wales, became King on the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022.
Of course, at Bowmer Bond, we had our own new beginning back in September 2022 when we became an EOT company. To mark the King’s Coronation, the Trustee directors gifted each employee at Bowmer Bond a commemorative linen tote bag and a box of limited-edition biscuits.
We all enjoyed the extended Bank Holiday weekend and we hope you did too!
