Last week, we welcomed our local MP Sarah Dines for Derbyshire Dales back to our Ashbourne site.  As it was National Apprenticeship Week, the topic for discussion during this visit was recruitment and, of course, apprenticeships. We have successfully employed and trained apprentices in the past and view this route to employment as a long-term mutual investment for the company. We intend to increase the number of apprenticeships in the near future and have already begun to explore options for different career stages and skill sets. Apprenticeships are a fantastic route for young people ready to get into the world of work. The mutual benefits of apprenticeships are: Apprentice:
  • Experience and skills development
  • A nationally recognised qualification
  • Employee benefits and a wage
  • Learn from industry professionals
Employer:
  • Business growth
  • Improve skills
  • Increase productivity
  • Improve quality
Look out for further news on apprenticeships at Bowmer Bond later this year.
